| As schools work to make the arts an important part of the instructional program, it is vital that teachers receive the resources and support they will need to be effective.
Music Center programs facilitate a dynamic partnership between teaching artists and teachers to maximize student learning. While some classroom teachers have a great deal of experience teaching artistic disciplines, others may not feel as comfortable and may even find the arts to be intimidating. The Music Center provides a range of professional development programs and services, all rooted in the California Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Standards, to help teachers along a continuum towards being able to fully integrate the arts into daily classroom instruction.
